Life of pie.

After reading the book Life Of Pie, I have learned a lot of useful information. First of , I agree with pie when he says "zoos are good hotels for animals". I learned so much about how to survive when stranded out at sea. I had no idea eating turtles was very good. I never would have thought that poor nutrition can lead to temporary blindness. I learned how to show your dominance to an animal, so that it knows who is in charge. I also had no idea how mean and ferocious hyenas are.

Video comparison.

After watching both videos, i can say that the first fatal car wreck was very intense and graphic. I didn't really like it because of how awful it was. Although i do believe the message of that video is very real and gets the point across with using fear and tragic. People are going to be able to remember that video very well. The seconds video however, is very different because it shows the bright side of using your seat belt. I tend to like this video better because people don't have to see the negative effects. They get to see what happens when you do wear your seat belt. I was also very surprised at how high the seat belt rate was as of this year. When i drive around town i do notice more people wearing seat belts though. As long as this rate continues to grow, then more lives will be saved and the need to make these types of messages will be less.

The Woods family picknick.

It was a Saturday, not like any other Saturday though, this Saturday was special. This is the story of the Woods' family pick nick. They were a happy family, with a pro golfer as the father. He was a man that's was the perfect image of the true American. He lived by his virtues of honesty, love, and compassion. This man was absolutely perfect at his job and won every single match he ever played in. He had a beautiful wife, and two cool kids. They were very close and decided it was a great day for a family pick nick. It was slightly breezy , 85 degrees and sunny with not a cloud in sight. They headed for the beach with their pick nick supplies and ready to eat.every single But what they didn't know was that every single person in the city was headed for the beach too. Families from all over the world were going there to enjoy a family pick nick. Tiger thought it would be a day where he could enjoy the beach in privacy with his family.
At first, they couldn't find a single parking spot, they had to park in a handicap spot , 2 miles away in a deserted gas station. When they got to the beach they couldn't find a big enough spot to eat there lunch, so they sat underneath the lifeguard tower. At least they were in shade, but it was so cramped that everybody bumped elbows. When they pulled the lunch out to eat , to their surprise ants had gotten to it first, and the seagulls flew around them in circles begging to grab the food.
The whole day was horrible nobody had fun, not even the kids who always have fun. Then they had walk 2 miles back to the car, that was not even there. All that was left was a blue ticket laying on the ground which said, Impounded!. They didn't have enough money to get a cab, so tiger decided to call up his private helicopter to get them.
And so that was the life in the day of Tiger and his family while trying to have a family pick nick.

5 things i think teacher should do teach better.

Many teachers need little tips that will help them become better at what they do. Here is my list of 5 things i think teachers should do to improve their teaching skills.
1) Listen to the students. ( When students have good suggestions that are appropriate the teachers should try and use these suggestions in the way they teach.)

2) Have fun. ( The very best teachers learn to teach in fun ways that keep the students interested and still help them learn.

3)Change it up. ( Don't always teach the same thing over and over in the same method. For instance Make every Friday a Fun learning day, in which the students get to interact with each other while still learning the material.

4) Try and help the students ( Give extra credit as much as possible and when students need help them help them.

5)Teach Fun courses. ( students want to learn courses that interest them.

Texting while driving.

Many car accidents are caused by distractions such as texting or talking on the phone. I personally do not text while driving, if i have to make a text then I will just text when I am sitting at a red light. This is what most people do when i ride with them. Watching the video it is definitely an eye opener for many teens across the world. I don't think the video should be shown to the public on t.v because of how graphic it is, but I do think it would be okay to show in high school health/lifestyle classes. The video does make me a lot more aware about making good choices with your phone while driving. It shows how quickly some body's life can because of one decision.

philosophy of life.

"You miss 100% of the shots you never take" - Wayne Gretzky

This is my philosophy about life. I believe that way to many people go about life scared to do things that they may later regret. This is why I think we need to take those good risks on life, and sometimes go for it. Many of the great professional athletes today will tell you that they aren't afraid to make the tough shots, because they trust themselves and understand the big reward which follows it. I can think back on so many times where I have decided not to do something, then later look back and say "now why didn't I just go for it". For instance I have a full size basketball court at my house, and usually practice shooting hoops on a regular everyday basis. I knew I was good, and so I told my mom this is the year, (since its my senior year) that I was going to finally play for the school basketball team. Well when the time came around to go tryout and play for the team I ended up not going out, and so I now deeply regret it. This is why we should live life by taking those good shots so that we can for example, raise are shot percentage and end up winning the game.

Many people go though life and have certain experience's which may define us who we are today. I can remember when i was a young kid i started baseball when i was 5 yrs old. My father was my coach from when i first started playing up until my parents divorced. My father said he wanted to be my coach because he never wanted me to have a bad coach, and enjoyed having me on the team. One year our team even went undefeated by wining every game we played, crushing the opponent. I excelled very well through these little league days, & can remember playing baseball with all of my friends with whom i still talk to today. But when my parents split up my father stopped coaching me and i started to become less interested and driven to play the sport of baseball and started moving to other sports such as soccer and football. This was a crucial 2 year time i took of baseball while all my friends were still playing. I finally came back and could clearly tell the difference between my friends skill and my skill. I use to be just as good, just as fast, just as motivated and focused as my one good friend Christopher Newcomb. Now in high school as a senior my friend Christopher Newcomb has signed a baseball scholarship for St.Marys college and he has finally accomplished his dream.
