MY LAST BLOG POST OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!

Wow I can't believe it!! The school year has officially come to a complete end, no more high school anymore. When I think about it, it is actually pretty sad. No more high school baseball games, no more afternoon lunches in my moms room with my best friends. No more high school stress and drama that comes along with everything. High school has definitely been one of the best parts of my life, I'm going to miss all the good times very very much. But now its time to graduate and move on with my real life, down the road towards success. I have learned allot this year, and have greatly enjoyed the art/English class we have been able to be apart of. I think its really cool that we were able to make projects for every piece of literature we read in English. I know how hard Ms. Swanson and Mrs. Ladd work for us in this class and I greatly..greatly appreciate it. Next year I will be going to the University of South Florida and am still not decided on what i should major in. I know it has to be in sports like something such as sports business, or management. I do know that the rest of my life is still ahead of me and am ready to start it!

My commencement speech

Hello Class of 2010!!!!
It's finally here! The long 12 yrs of school has come to an end, and it's time we go down the true road towards our life. Memories have been made & lessons have been learned. What a great experience this all has been. High schools has been fun and now it's time for college. It has been really fun growing up through high school with close friends, doing things such as playing baseball together, hanging out after school, & doing things such as playing basketball at the YMCA , fishing and going to the beach. Looking back on these years a couple things stand out such as, winning districts in baseball, class night, Grad night, & the final game of my high school career. Advice I have for fellow classmates is to stay true to who you are & do things in life you want to accomplish. I want to thank my parents for everything they have done for me to get to this point, and my friends for the good times, advice and memories.

Facebook.

Challenge #9

Step aside Myspace, its all about FACEBOOK. Over the past 6yrs Facebook has grown into a social network powerhouse. With 400 million active users world-wide, its never been as easy and fun to connect with friends and family through a simple site. It was made to connect with fellow students at Harvard University and it has evolved drastically. I myself use Facebook just about everyday. I use it to just chat with friends and see whats going on and about with people I know. Personally i don't really feel that there is any issue with Facebook. I understand that privacy may be an issue for some, but its also for easy to keep your privacy by just not accepting people you do not know. Overall Facebook is a great way to reach out on a social network site and its obviously working, as the success is evident.

texting while driving.

Texting while driving has really grown into a huge problem in today's society, especially with teens. I would have to say that i txt just as much as normal teens do, but i am smart enough to know that the consequences are to high to be texting while I'm driving. I almost never txt when im driving, whenever i do txt it is when i am at a red light. I am not addicted to texting, but i know many people are, especially girls. If i want to txt someone while I'm driving then i will just call them and put the phone on speaker. That way i can keep my eyes on the road and not worry about looking down to type. Nowadays there is allot of different phone apps that can allow you to say what you want to you re phone and it will convert it into a txt message. After watching those videos it really should make people think twice about txting while driving and hope they stop now before it turns into an epidemic.

Traveling.

It's no wonder people love to travel. I personally think that traveling allows us to get away from our real lives and just relax and enjoy the comforts traveling brings us. Traveling provide tremendous opportunities for fun, adventure and discovery. I would love to visit exotic locations such as Hawaii, to see the great island lifestyle and learn how to surf. Or Alaska to see how they live year round with a cold atmosphere and the incredible wildlife there. When we get to visit places around the world we get to learn a better understanding of the people that live there. We learn there cultures, history ,background and wildlife. I think everybody should experience the benefits of traveling and all the positives it has.

My duradango

When i made my duradango, i felt like i was at one with nature by experience what it is like to make something so cool just out of dirt and clay. It was a little hard to shine because i had a lot of clay in mine, but all around it was a fun experience.

Blog challenge 5

This challenges topic is asking if i think i should have a creative commons license for my blog? Well honestly i would have to say NO. I could care less if people use my pictures or own words. Because by posting my blog I know that my work will be seen to the public. Therefor people have the right to read what i put. Even though it may be wrong for them to steal what I do, i should not post something that valuable to the point where I think it can be stolen. Some people may think different about this because they feel so uptight about the things they do, but honestly I could care less. If I wrote an essay for some project in school then posted somewhere on the Internet than I know it has the possibility of being taken and used by another person and they could call it their own, but i could care less. If I was really up tight about what i did then i wouldn't post it for others or i would have it trademarked as my own.

Spring break and Trancendenalism

Spring break 201o, man was it fun. This was my last spring break here as a senior with all of my high school friends. I started of kind of slow, then gradually got better. So what did I do? Well let me think, I went to the beach ALOT. I was there with all my friends, joe , beau, chad, and all the other people I knew out there. There was a huge volleyball tournyament that I played in with joe and some other random kid. It was my first time playing beach volleyball and I did really good for my first time. I also went fishing after baseball practice with beau. That was also my first time going fishing out here in the bay. After a while i caught on quickly and finally got a fish. It was a nice 20 inch trout, which I then followed by catching another one and another one. Overall this spring break was really fun just having relaxing time off school and hanging out with my friends.

blog challenge 3

Sunlight shinning through the sleepy window crack, as the morning is now arising. Birds chirping, animals wondering about and here is me laying in bed just waking up to my beautiful state of Florida. It's a typical 75 degree with a slight hither of wind wondering about innocently and the sun beating down without a cloud in the sky. This calls for a perfect day at the beach. I grab my nice pair of oakley sunglasses my orange and yellow stripped towel and throw on my tropical bathing suit. While im driving down on my way to the beach

Speech/Forensics

Many people at Bayshore High School have no clue that we have a speech class, or they do not even know what speech class is about. Well i have had the privilege of knowing about this class perhaps because my mother teaches it. When I first took this class my 10Th grade year I was not the best speaker and definitely wanted to improve my communication skills. For some ,(like my self when i first started) it was pretty hard and very nervous to get up in font of a bunch of people and talk. It is even known that public speaking is the number one feared activity. I would get up there to start talking and It was like a 500lb weight was on me that I couldn't get off. I would start talking really fast and get nervous and red in the face. This all finally changed the longer I participated in speech. I gained more confidence while speaking in front of a lot of people. This year i decided to participate in Forensics. Forensics is a speech competition league with many different branches on how or what you may be speaking about. The type of speech I competed in was student congress. Resolutions are picked from the student authors and then a debate is formed on the topic whether you are for or against the issue. Now, the students I competed against were from schools all over our Florida district, and many of them were kids who were very very intelligent and would probably soon to be lawyers. This being my first year doing this organized type of tournament I was not really on the same level as most of them. I met lots of cool, weird, funny , annoying, friendly, (kids who really like to talk a lot) type of people. The experience was awesome and I now wish that I had pursued this much earlier. This learning experience and building of my communication skills has molded me into a great speaker and i will have this tool for the rest of my life.

Life of pie.

After reading the book Life Of Pie, I have learned a lot of useful information. First of , I agree with pie when he says "zoos are good hotels for animals". I learned so much about how to survive when stranded out at sea. I had no idea eating turtles was very good. I never would have thought that poor nutrition can lead to temporary blindness. I learned how to show your dominance to an animal, so that it knows who is in charge. I also had no idea how mean and ferocious hyenas are.

Video comparison.

After watching both videos, i can say that the first fatal car wreck was very intense and graphic. I didn't really like it because of how awful it was. Although i do believe the message of that video is very real and gets the point across with using fear and tragic. People are going to be able to remember that video very well. The seconds video however, is very different because it shows the bright side of using your seat belt. I tend to like this video better because people don't have to see the negative effects. They get to see what happens when you do wear your seat belt. I was also very surprised at how high the seat belt rate was as of this year. When i drive around town i do notice more people wearing seat belts though. As long as this rate continues to grow, then more lives will be saved and the need to make these types of messages will be less.

The Woods family picknick.

It was a Saturday, not like any other Saturday though, this Saturday was special. This is the story of the Woods' family pick nick. They were a happy family, with a pro golfer as the father. He was a man that's was the perfect image of the true American. He lived by his virtues of honesty, love, and compassion. This man was absolutely perfect at his job and won every single match he ever played in. He had a beautiful wife, and two cool kids. They were very close and decided it was a great day for a family pick nick. It was slightly breezy , 85 degrees and sunny with not a cloud in sight. They headed for the beach with their pick nick supplies and ready to eat.every single But what they didn't know was that every single person in the city was headed for the beach too. Families from all over the world were going there to enjoy a family pick nick. Tiger thought it would be a day where he could enjoy the beach in privacy with his family.
At first, they couldn't find a single parking spot, they had to park in a handicap spot , 2 miles away in a deserted gas station. When they got to the beach they couldn't find a big enough spot to eat there lunch, so they sat underneath the lifeguard tower. At least they were in shade, but it was so cramped that everybody bumped elbows. When they pulled the lunch out to eat , to their surprise ants had gotten to it first, and the seagulls flew around them in circles begging to grab the food.
The whole day was horrible nobody had fun, not even the kids who always have fun. Then they had walk 2 miles back to the car, that was not even there. All that was left was a blue ticket laying on the ground which said, Impounded!. They didn't have enough money to get a cab, so tiger decided to call up his private helicopter to get them.
And so that was the life in the day of Tiger and his family while trying to have a family pick nick.

5 things i think teacher should do teach better.

Many teachers need little tips that will help them become better at what they do. Here is my list of 5 things i think teachers should do to improve their teaching skills.
1) Listen to the students. ( When students have good suggestions that are appropriate the teachers should try and use these suggestions in the way they teach.)

2) Have fun. ( The very best teachers learn to teach in fun ways that keep the students interested and still help them learn.

3)Change it up. ( Don't always teach the same thing over and over in the same method. For instance Make every Friday a Fun learning day, in which the students get to interact with each other while still learning the material.

4) Try and help the students ( Give extra credit as much as possible and when students need help them help them.

5)Teach Fun courses. ( students want to learn courses that interest them.

Texting while driving.

Many car accidents are caused by distractions such as texting or talking on the phone. I personally do not text while driving, if i have to make a text then I will just text when I am sitting at a red light. This is what most people do when i ride with them. Watching the video it is definitely an eye opener for many teens across the world. I don't think the video should be shown to the public on t.v because of how graphic it is, but I do think it would be okay to show in high school health/lifestyle classes. The video does make me a lot more aware about making good choices with your phone while driving. It shows how quickly some body's life can because of one decision.

philosophy of life.

"You miss 100% of the shots you never take" - Wayne Gretzky

This is my philosophy about life. I believe that way to many people go about life scared to do things that they may later regret. This is why I think we need to take those good risks on life, and sometimes go for it. Many of the great professional athletes today will tell you that they aren't afraid to make the tough shots, because they trust themselves and understand the big reward which follows it. I can think back on so many times where I have decided not to do something, then later look back and say "now why didn't I just go for it". For instance I have a full size basketball court at my house, and usually practice shooting hoops on a regular everyday basis. I knew I was good, and so I told my mom this is the year, (since its my senior year) that I was going to finally play for the school basketball team. Well when the time came around to go tryout and play for the team I ended up not going out, and so I now deeply regret it. This is why we should live life by taking those good shots so that we can for example, raise are shot percentage and end up winning the game.

Many people go though life and have certain experience's which may define us who we are today. I can remember when i was a young kid i started baseball when i was 5 yrs old. My father was my coach from when i first started playing up until my parents divorced. My father said he wanted to be my coach because he never wanted me to have a bad coach, and enjoyed having me on the team. One year our team even went undefeated by wining every game we played, crushing the opponent. I excelled very well through these little league days, & can remember playing baseball with all of my friends with whom i still talk to today. But when my parents split up my father stopped coaching me and i started to become less interested and driven to play the sport of baseball and started moving to other sports such as soccer and football. This was a crucial 2 year time i took of baseball while all my friends were still playing. I finally came back and could clearly tell the difference between my friends skill and my skill. I use to be just as good, just as fast, just as motivated and focused as my one good friend Christopher Newcomb. Now in high school as a senior my friend Christopher Newcomb has signed a baseball scholarship for St.Marys college and he has finally accomplished his dream.

The Football Field

Toward Miami, around the traffic , to Superbowl 44 we come. Amongst the field is a vibe of energy as the players from both teams prepare for battle. I can smell the scent of freshly cut grass trimmings and rich paint which lines this incredible Football field. The hype is just setting it.

A teacher who has light a macth for me....

I have been blessed to have some very good teachers. One teacher that sticks out to me that i can really remember was my middle school geography teacher, Mrs. Roule. She brought such a fun interesting way of teaching that i actually enjoyed going to class. It also may have helped that all of my friends were in my class. I haven't had a class with all of my closet friends like that since. Mrs. Roule was not only such a cool teacher, she related herself to the other students, which may have been because she was young and full of energy. I can remember the sign in the back of the room that said " Roule Rules!! " , and that was for sure. I definitely could tell i was one of her favorite students. She always had us laughing and having fun but i also learned more in that class than any other class my 8Th grade year. Mrs. Roule definitely light a match for me during my time in school.

Nickname...

Most people have nicknames that they go by. This nickname usually was given to them by a friend for a reason such as, something they did or what they resemble. As a little kid I was called (dude- man) I have no reason why but that is what all my friends and even family called me. Well that all changed when I got to middle school. Then high school started and I was a freshman at Lennard High School and played football there on the varsity team. The first day of practice are coach made us put tape on the front of our helmet with our last name on it, so the coaches could get to know the players names. Thats when all of us players even started calling each other by our last names, so all I was known as was ( Causey). Then I came to Bayshore High School and everybody started calling me (G-Man) or (G-man Causey) , its kind of k\cool and catchy and I like it. Nicknames tend to grow with us and are pretty funny when we look back on them later in life.

He walks with swagger like a champ,
With his mind set on the prize;
But now hes known as a man tramp
Filled with nothing but a sex drive;
Hes a lady's man like lord byron,
although his wife beat him with his own 9 iron

His teeth are missing his eye is black;
He now no longer leaves his house,
Who would have thought that tiger woods could lay down all this smack;
and keep this secret life of his as quiet as a mouse
and we a sure don't know when he's going to comeback,
but as for now he's lost his spouse.

Personal Strengths

Many people have personal strengths, I believe i have a little myself. Without sounding a little conceited, i think some strengths i might have is athleticism. Being athletic is flat out fun. being able to do alt of sports and being good at them is definitely a good quality to have and allows me to hangout with friends from all the different sports at school. People can come to me with questions about sports because i absolutely love sports and know almost everything about them. I can make people laugh and also help people out when they need it.

And The Best Invention Of The Decade is....

Youtube!!!!!! , well of course it is. Youtube is a video sharing website which people can share and upload videos. Before youtube was invented its was pretty hard for users to upload videos on the internet for others to see. Youtube has revolutionized the internet today. Just think people use Youtube to connect to others through videos. These videos can be just for comical purposes, News, Highlights, and even teachers may use it for educational teaching. Youtube is now a huge hit for social impact.
