$$$100,000

I just won 100,000!!!!! wow seriously am i dreaming or what? This is seriously crazy. I cant believe this is really happening. Of course most people would want to keep about all of the money to themselves, but i must give half of it so 50,000 to charity. Which charity am i going to choose? well the first one that came to my mind was "The make a wish foundation". This foundation was made to grant wishes to children 2-18 yrs of age with life threatening medical conditions. I first found out about this foundation while watching ESPN. Every week they grant a wish for a new child which usually revolved around some sort of sport or player. So with that said the make a wish foundation would be my charity i would give half of my money too. Now, with the other half, 50,000 i would probably use about 25,000 for college and the other 25,000 to spend on whatever stuff i want. Like possibly a lease on a car or clothes or season tickets to all the sport events i want ( including the super bowl and NBA finals) and all that good stuff.

What really irritates me...

You wanna know what bugs the living heck out of me? People that absolutely cannot drive. All they do is drive blind going 10 mph under the speed limit and cut you off when you least expect it. Everyday when i drive on my way to school i see idiot drivers almost cause a big car pile up. If people would learn how to drive properly and not drive so slow and passive or so aggressive and speedy, then i wouldn't be annoyed while on the road. Another thing that really gets to me is. I cannot stand people that think they know everything and they never think that they are wrong. these people make me furious and they think they have an IQ of a genius. its like arguing with a wall and you will never win. lets see, another thing i cannot stand is people who cannot eat with manners. i was grown up in a home were good manners were very important. When people have terrible manners its both disgusting and rude, and i don't think there is anything that bugs me more. Many things annoy us in life and there isn't much we can do about it. We just have to go about life and deal with these things , even if we hate it.

Coat of Arms.

In art we are having to make a coat of arms for ourselves, which connects to the story of Macbeth and the time in which it took place. My coat of arms is very cool, and professional looking. i really enjoyed this project.

My blazon: Color of shield- Maroon (Patient in battle yet victorious) i follow this because i like to be a patient person and yet come out on top, most of the time.
Castle-(Safety) Everybody needs safety its just part of life and very good to have
Lion-(dauntless courage) its good to have this quality because you cant be timid through life.
Trojan head-(Strength, honor, Authority) these 3 qualities speak for themselves.
Arrows- (readiness for battle) You need to be always ready for whatever may happen.

Letter To Soldier

Dear Soldiers,

How is it going over there? Life here has been pretty good, thanks to the safety you all provide for us. I understand it is probably pretty difficult to be away from home over the holidays. I would like to let you know the work done over seas is very appreciated by all of us at home. Thanksgiving was a lot of fun this year, and the food was amazing, especially since the football games were intense. Things here at home are just the same, although the depression has gotten a tad bit better. So what it is like over seas? I heard its a lot different then we think and it has lot of beautiful parts of the country. What made you want to join the military? and what is your specific duty over there? What are some things that you soldiers to for the holidays?

Gratitude

It's that time of year when everyone reflects on what they are thankful for in life. I can say that i am thankful for many things in my life. First off i am thankful for the family in which i have been brought up in. My family is pretty close and we are all involved in each others lives. My mom has done a very fine job in raising me, and it definitely shows. She has done everything for me and supports me with almost everything i do. I can always count on her when i need her. I am also thankful for the way my life has gone and the choices that i have made. My life has been good and i continue to keep it that way. This time of year is very fun and jolly because the holidays make it a fun exiting ,enjoyable time for all of us. A mater of fact thanksgiving is actually my favorite time of year. Every thanksgiving i go to my grandparents and we have a bunch of family over there with lots of food and of course get to watch football. Which is one of my favorite things to do on thanksgiving. But the real reason i like it, is because we get to hang around all the fun family members, that we don't usually get to see. Its just a fun family get-together and we even occasionally get to play little games. this time of year really does show me , that i should be thankful for everything in my life.

My hero is...

My hero is Tim Tebow! Tim is a Hiesman trophy winning football quarterback for the Florida gators. Who also to mention have won the national championship 2 times in the past 4 years. they are looking like they are headed to the National College football championship game again for this year as well.He was the first college football quarterback to rush and throw for 20 tds in a season. Tebow is so inspirational to me because not only des he posses the qualities of arguably the best player to ever play in college football. He also is such a wonderful person outside of football. Tebow spends every summer in the phillipines helping in his dads orphanage and missionary work.

this imovie project.

This imovie art project was very fun to the point and easy. I have used i movie before but definitely learned a lot more on how to use it and the different things that can be done with it. For this imovie project we had to pick a popular/famous artist and make a presentation on them using imovie. The project presentations were pretty short but straight forward and we learned a lot about each others artists. The artist i choose was Rembrandt Van Rijn. He was born July 16,1606 in the Netherlands. He was a Dutch painter and etcher. He was considered one of the greatest painters and print makers in European history. His contributions to art came in the Golden Dutch era. His etchings and paintings were popular throughout his lifetime, his reputation as an artist remained high. Remembrands greatest creative triumphs are exemplified especially in his portraits of his contemporaries , self-portraits and illustrations from scenes from the bible. This project showed us how important these artists were and are to society. It also shows that Art can be expressed in many different ways and each person has their own uniqueness about themselves.

The economy

The economy right now is insane. Things have almost gotten out of control. As a high school senior i am now starting to realize everything with expenses. Gas has risen to an all-time high $4.50 last year and now is about $2.50. That means its costing me about 35.00 a week just driving to school and back everyday. Just imagine how the price of gas and other things will be when are children are in this point in time of their lives. All the money i get just goes straight for gas. this is definitely a problem. I just don't get to spend money for myself on things i would like to buy and this economy just completely ruins everything. As a senior we have allot of money we have to spend. We have the SAT'S, and the ACTS, and those alone are like 45 bucks each. Let alone how many times you plan on taking it, and an additional 20 bucks for the late fee if you procrastinate. We also have are senior fees which are like $90, grad night which is $110, and prom that is $55. So all these things for us really add up. Not only is it bad for us as seniors, but just think about all those innocent people that got laid off. They now have no job and in this bad economy having a job is like filing for bankruptcy. It is just ridiculous how bad this economy has gotten today.

The most evil character in macbeth is....

There is always an evil character in every story. Most of the time its pretty easy to identify this person. But in Macbeth some may say its either Macbeth himself or his wife Lady Macbeth. Even though some may think that Macbeth is the most evil since he is the one who goes through with the killing, its clear that Lady Macbeth is the true evil character. Lady Macbeth is just a wicked woman who is willing to do whatever it takes to have her and her husband rise up with power. Lady Macbeth is so evil she convinces Macbeth to kill his best friend Duncan so he will become king. Who in their right mind would do such a thing? Lady Macbeth has other people do the dirty work for her which is actually even worse, because she doesn't have the guts and dignity to do things herself. After the death of king Duncan, lady Macbeth thinks that everything is fine and dandy even though Macbeth does kinda regret the death of his friend king Duncan. All because of Lady Macbeth and her manipulative ways about her things have worsened and the whole for Macbeth has gotten so deep just like he says" The blood I have walked into has gotten to deep to wade in now, and there is no escaping " Lady Macbeth doesn't think about the consequences that she creates. She just does whatever is best for her at that point in time. She has created a huge mess for Macbeth and others and doesn't regret one bit of it. Lady Macbeth is definitely the most evil person in Macbeth, and all the evidence is there to prove it.

Macbeth

Macbeth is a lot like Hitler, because Macbeth wants to be able to whatever it takes to satisfy himself. Even if its not morally right. Hitler was a very cruel man and all he thought about was himself, just as Macbeth does. They both possess power and are very odd in the way they think and go about doing things. Macbeth and hitler are very different then most people which makes them so alike. Macbeth is so greedy for power he is actually willing to kill his best friend just to be king. Although he was probably going to already be king in a few years, he was that hungry for the power now. And hitler had this much greed himself, that he killed millions of people so his power could over-take everyone.

Music....

What is so great about music? Well, music is what makes people go throughout their day in a happy fashionable manner, that we can all relate too. Just think about how a day without music would be like. Music put us in good moods, and reminds us of memories. When there is a song that come on the radio i enjoy, i begin to rock out to it, and it just brings joy and a sense of fun crazyness to me.

Bayshore High

For the past 3 years Bayshore High School has been Graded as a "D" school. That is totally and 100% inaccurate. Here at Bayshore High strive our best everyday to make a good name for ourselves as a School and better yet a family. First off from what i've heard we are only a D school because those kids that score low on the FCAT do not improve the following year. But as for everyone else here at BHS we are very smart and i feel like being put as a D school may make us look bad to some, but we need to understand that we come to school everyday to learn and at least i know that i'm trying to make a difference, so you should too. Most of our teachers here are GREAT , but i do believe that there is some teachers here that really don't teach , and it hurts the students in the long run. I think if i was principal there would be some minor changes to the school. First i think that Kids that are doing the right thing with Grades, Home work, Dedication to extracurricular activities for the school should somehow be rewarded. The tardy rule should be enforced harder. Hats should be allowed if your GPA is 2.8 or higher.Ipods should be allowed when teacher is done instructing, as long as its not a distraction. There needs to be more school spirit signs around, and people need to get involved more. Kids also need to go around school saying positive things about BHS not negative things. All these simple things would really make BHS a great place to go to school.

What if?

What if everything we dreamed and wanted could happen? Imagine just being able to choose the exact life you want to live. As little kids we all think about what we want to be when we get older, but that's not always how things end up. Just think if i wanted to be a professional football player, or a millionaire or a really famous person, i could. This would be unbelievably surreal. Everything in life would go just like we wanted, and all of our dreams would be met. But is this really a good life, that we would want to live? I mean honestly, everyone may think this would be so fine and dandy, but is it really? Life is the way it is, so that only certain people have the skill and ambition for the job they choose and the path they take. I often sit and think about all the what ifs in the world, But then i think that i am the way i am and god has plans for all of us. Living the perfect life that you would like to live, would get boring really quick. How would you know what it would feel like to not always being able to do exactly what you want, if all you experienced was exactly how you wanted things to be. Then you wouldn't feel the satisfaction of hard work and dedication, which comes along with reaching your goal of what you want to do in life. Life is the way it is for a reason and we shall not complain, just work harder on what you want to achieve in life.

Obstacles

We go through many obstacles in life, that we will need to overcome. Are life then reflects on the choices we have made to conquer the obstacles.
Senior year is definitely alot of work. Full of obstacles, hard work and dedication. Its far more different then i expected, since most people say that its a breeze and you can sit back, have fun, and enjoy it. Don't get me wrong , you can have fun and enjoy it but there's alot of work and dedication to do first. For me right now, i am freaking out because im trying to get all my college applications done before the deadline. That means i have to write essays, fill out dumb paper work , and write up resumes. Life is so real senior year when you start to realize that you are that much closer to graduating and actually being on your own. When you are on your own then you cant rely on mom and dad for most things anymore. Its just definitely a wake up call. I suggest that since there is so much work to be done senior year,it would be a good idea to go get a big planner/calender marker-board to hang up in your room. This will allow you to be organized and have all the important dates for you to see, so that you are not so stressed when it comes to time. I have finally noticed that having the quality of being organized is so vital to school, and work. Besides the college applications , i still have to take my ACT in a couple weeks. This is huge because it will be the deciding factor in whether i get into the college or college's i want. Like i said, senior year has many obstacles, and like the quote says; When those obstacles arise, you change your direction to meet your goal;you do not change your decision to get there.

Words of Wisdom

Lets go all the way back to freshman year. Yeah, it is a been a long time . So were do i begin? hmm i think that freshman year is just as exiting as you final year in high school as a SENIOR!
The thing about freshman year is that it is the first year of your grown up life. It is the foundation and starting line for high school. Most of your life looks back on these times and the choices you decide to make. I don't think there is anything major i would have done differently, because i really like the way my life is going now and the choices i have stuck with. Of course there is somethings you kinda wish you would have done differently like playing another sport, trying to get that A in a class instead of a B, but oh well you cant change anything and your life is now what you have made it. I honestly don't think i have made any bad choices? like i said Im glad about how my life is going. Yes you are a Freshman. Don't freak out the world hasn't come to an end. Its just the first step you take in becoming a REAL person. So listen up! If i could give advice to all of you freshman out there, here is what you should know. Like one of my favorite teachers once said, Be WHERE your supposed to be , WHEN you're supposed to be, Doing WHAT you're supposed to be doing. If you follows those 3 simple W's then you should be just fine. Make sure you don't get caught up in to many things, you should just go through high school enjoying yourself but also managing good grades. Trust me if you do this then you will definitely enjoy it. With that said welcome to High School Freshys your life has just begun!

Its Finally Here !!

Ive always dreamed and envied at the moment when i will get to walk across that stage in June as they come on the intercom and say my name, "Garrett Causey!!". That's right senior year is finally here and I'm now looking back on how fast life goes by. We grow up so soon and need to be able to take in everything and reminisce about all the good and hard times we went through in high school. I can remember when i was in 4Th grade thinking about how much time i had till 12Th grade. I just really didn't think this would all go by so quickly. Just yesterday I was trying to finalize my College application for Florida State University and its just so surreal that i will actually be going to college in less than a year! This year i have definitely set goals and aspirations for myself, such as Keeping my GPA up and not slacking like a normal senior. I also would like to be a leader on the baseball team and help are team as much as i can so that we can have a goal again to be playing in may for the district championship game, just as we did 2 years ago. I would really like to get in to FSU , USF or possibly a small junior college for baseball. I have definitely started to hang out with friends as much as possible so that i can make this year a memorable one full of good things and fun times. I want to try and avoid being the person who makes bad choices, end up doing something they really wanted and having things end up differently than expected or as planned. Senior year is finally here...SENIOR YEAR IS FINALLY HERE!!! So let your life reflect on it and enjoy every second of it, because there is only 1 senior year and its a time you will look back on as your life progresses.
